I am a researcher at the Institute of International Relations in Prague. Currently, I am a visiting fellow in Taipei with the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy. My research interests include China, political repression, and digital authoritarianism. My work spans academic research, policy engagement, public and media outreach, and teaching.
I earned a PhD at the Prague University of Economics and Business, focusing on digital authoritarianism, and a master’s degree in Political Science with a minor in China Studies from the same university. I studied Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University and Zhejiang University, and Russian at the Far East Federal University in Vladivostok.
I have taught courses on China’s global influence and on the social impacts of modern media at the Czech Technical University in Prague, as well as political science at the Prague University of Economics and Business. I was a visiting researcher at the Stockholm Center for Global Asia (Stockholm University) and the Centre for Military Studies (University of Copenhagen).
